Kodiyoor Sree Aadhiparasakthi Temple, built in the 1940s, is a Hindu temple in Kodiyoor near Thackalai,
Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu.
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sree Aadhiparasakthi, who is popularly known as Sakthi.
Kodiyoor Anngannu (Karnavar) dreamt that a deity was buried in a place called Kattimancode and should be enshrined
at Kodiyoor near Mahadevar temple. Adv K Bhaskara Pillai, Karnor's nephew, lacking enough financial support
then, later purchased land and built a temple with his elder sister's (Akkachi) support.
After their demise, rituals were performed by priests.
The dilapidated temple was restored, and Kumbabhishekam and Punarprathishta were performed in
January 2024. Pournami pooja resumed on 25th March.
The temple, open only on specific occasions, worships Sree Aadhiparashakti as the main deity.
Upa deities are Sree Bhadrakali, Ganapathy, Sasthavu, Thampuran, Yakshi amma, Nagangal and
Yogeeshwaran (Karnavar). The flowers used in the temple are Thetti, Thulasi, Jasmine, Pichi and
Lotus. The temple is only opened on pournami days and special occasions.
